Today was the kickoff for our fall fundraiser. The fundraiser runs from today until September 21st. Any student selling 25 items will get to take a Limo ride to a local restaurant. If you have several children at Steele there is a deal for you. If your children combine for a sale of 35 items then they all get to go on the limo ride. Congratulation to the Steele School PTO. We finished in fourth place overall with 387 ducks sold. Our PTO sold more ducks today before the duck race than has ever been sold before. Everyone was wanting a duck necklace leading to over 110 ducks being sold on race day. Way to go
We currently have 163 Ducks sold! Our PTO will meet at the front gate of the GHS football game starting around 5:30 to sell ducks to the community so we can get 250 ducks sold. The Duck race is Sunday at Lake Storey Beach around 2:00. Our very own Shalane Worden will be running for Steele School. Remember all the proceeds raised go directly to Galesburg Schools

If you will be enrolling your child for the first time in District #205, you must bring the child's birth certificate and physical examination with you to registration. At Galesburg High School, all new students must also have a transcript from previous school(s) attended. Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2012. During each April a week is set aside to celebrate young children and support all who help them grow. This year, April 22-28 has been set aside as The Week of the Young Child. This year's theme is "Early Years are Learning Years."

No homemade treats, snacks, or items from bakeries (due to cross-contamination) are allowed for distribution at school. We strongly encourage you to select a treat or snack with nutritional value.
